Modes of Counselling Offered

  • Face to Face Sessions in Bangalow, NSW
  • Telehealth Online (Web Based) Sessions - Access support from the privacy of your own home. These sessions can be set up to occur via HealthDirect (an encrypted and secure platform that enables video calling over the internet). 
    Note: Telehealth is not suitable for those experiencing acute crisis, suicidal thoughts or serious mental ill health.
  • Phone Sessions as requested

Fees 

  • $180/hour  ​
  • Concession rate $165/hour for healthcare/concession card holders 

Medicare Rebates and Referral Options

  • Medicare rebate If you bring with you a Mental Health Care plan from your doctor then you are eligible to receive Medicare Rebate $88.25 per session for up to 20 sessions.
  • Private Patient (No Mental Health Care plan): You are welcome to attend without any Mental Health Care plan
  • Private Health Fund rebates: Rebates may apply. Speak directly with your health fund about whether Psychology is covered. 
  • Employee Assistance Program (Access EAP and Converge): If you attend through your Employee Assistance Program you may be eligible for between 3 to 6 confidential sessions covered by your employer. You can call your EAP provider and they will book an appointment on your behalf 
  • Victim Services If eligible to access sessions through Victim Services you can receive up to 22 sessions funded entirely by Victim Services. Please apply directly to Victim Services and ask to me allocated to see Mel.
    ​Mel's Victim Services Caseload is currently FULL (Last updated Mid Jan 2022)
  • Connect to Wellbeing Program (used to be called Healthy Minds): If you are homeless, at risk of homelessness, suicidal or a new parent (either pregnant or with a child under 12 months old) , an 'at risk' young person or are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Descent you may be eligible to be seen for 12 free sessions under this Program. Please discuss this option with your doctor as a referral is needed.

Once you have an appointment booked in then you will receive a reminder SMS 48hours before the session.
